The Gaspereau Valley Gazette was created by Daphne Frazee in 2007. The first issue appeared in May of that same year.
Its purpose is to improve communications within the Valley thus creating more of a sense of community. It also gives local businesses a place to advertise.
The paper contains: community announcements, Choir Corner, local history, recreation news, recipes, Aunt May's Diary, humour and more. The deadline for submissions is the 12th day of the previous month. i.e. September 12th for the October issue.
Copies are distributed prior to the first day of each month through the following locations: the Just Us Coffee in Grand Pre, Reid's Meats & Kwik-Way in Melanson, Gaspereau Valley Fibres, Gaspereau Gas & Convenience, Gaspereau Valley Elementary, Gaspereau Winery, Wolfville Ridge Baptist Church, the White Rock Community Centre, Avery's Farm Market and Stirling Farm Market in Greenwich, in Wolfville at: the Royal Bank, the Real Scoop and Tideways, or by direct email.
